116th Street may be closed for the construction of the Nickel Plate Trail pedestrian tunnel, but the doors are open to shop, dine, play, and explore Fishers’ downtown Nickel Plate District (NPD) as our community comes back together for a summer of fun, tradition, and memory making.
Support local with the district’s unique shopping and dining options, get the season’s freshest picks at the award-winning Fishers Farmers’ Market, cool off with Monsoon Madness at Holland Park, celebrate the summer at Spark!Fishers, or enjoy a concert under the stars at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.
Parking downtown is convenient and easy with five free parking garages and multiple surface lots. Access is open to all local businesses and public parking garages during the 116th Street closure. Find parking and business access maps to help you navigate to your favorite destination in the NPD at ThisIsFishers.com/SeizetheSummer.
Take advantage of the newly paved portions of the Nickel Plate Trail and walk or bike to the NPD. The trail is paved from 106th Street to South Street, and 131st Street to North Street. Check out the pedestrian detour map for access through downtown during the construction.
