The school year has come to an end and although the summer solstice is still several weeks away, the summer season is unofficially underway in Fishers!
Summertime brings a buzz of activity around the city. From concerts in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, to Saturday morning Farmers’ Markets, to the second-annual Spark!Fishers festival, Fishers Parks and Recreation’s summer itinerary is packed full of family favorites, annual traditions, and new events designed for all-ages.

Fishers Farmers’ Market Saturdays through October 26 / 8 a.m.-noonNickel Plate District AmphitheaterFree Rated one of the top farmers’ markets in the region, the Fishers Farmers’ Market presented by IU Health Saxony features your favorite local produce, baked goods, and prepared foods from over 60 full and part-time vendors, now during an extended season at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater! The whole family will enjoy live entertainment, the Farm Hand’s kid’s program, and festive specialty days while stocking up on fresh, local, flavorful foods direct from farmers and producers. Fishing at Flat ForkSunday, June 2 / 1-5 p.m.Flat Fork Creek ParkFreeCheck out one of Fishers’ best fishing holes during this DNR Free Fishing Weekend, featuring knot tying lessons, parking lot trout fishing, and more. Fishing poles and bait are provided. Can’t make it to Flat Fork Creek Park? During the DNR Free Fishing Weekend on June 1 and 2, families and residents can drop in a line at their favorite fishing pond with no license required.
Summer CampsJune 3 / Around FishersWith an array of engaging full and half-day camp programs, Fishers Parks & Recreation summer camps offer opportunities for children to explore exciting and vibrant topics while meeting new friends. Camps focus on art, STEM, fitness, and nature programming, and campers will enjoy sessions on coding, cooking, conducting messy science experiments, and other fun themes. Saxony Lake and BeachOpen daily / 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Free for Fishers residents Part of Fishers’ diverse parks system, Saxony Lake & Beach (13288 Pennington Road) is open for the summer! The beach is open daily through August 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beginning on August 5, the beach will be open on weekends only through Labor Day weekend. The second-annual Spark!Fishers festival, ignited by First Internet Bank, returns June 28 and 29 to the Nickel Plate District in the heart of downtown Fishers. The celebration is packed full of family-favorites and Independence Day traditions, while showcasing our local veterans, community spirit, and what it means to be uniquely Fishers. The Spark!Fishers weekend kicks off on Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m. with a free concert featuring national recording artists Vertical Horizon and Tonic in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The festival continues Saturday, June 29 with an all-day celebration honoring our freedom and vibrant community.
