Fishers, (Indiana) - Fishers police officers are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery of a local bank.
At 2:20pm the Hamilton County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from an employee of the Key Bank, located at 7450 E. 116th Street. The caller reported a suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money. No employees were injured.
Fishers police officers quickly arrived in the area and set a perimeter. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. After an extensive search officers were unable to locate the suspect. Investigators and Crime Scene Technicians responded to the scene to collect evidence and speak with witnesses. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, Carmel Police Department, Noblesville Police Department, Indiana State Police, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted.
