Fishers, (Indiana): The Fishers Police Department assisted The FBI Safe Streets Task Force in the apprehension of a murder suspect.
On August 12, 2023, detectives with the Bowling Green (KY) PD began a murder investigation after a victim was found deceased in their jurisdiction. Through the course of their investigation, a suspect was developed and identified as David Profitt of Bowling Green, KY. An arrest warrant was issued for Profitt and BGPD Detectives contacted the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force from the FBI’s Indianapolis Field Office after they suspected the subject had fled to the Indianapolis-area. The Fishers Police Department has a Detective currently assigned to this task force. Task Force Officers with the FBI VCTF began searching for Profitt who was eventually located at Top Golf in Fishers. Additionally, Fishers SWAT was requested to respond and ultimately apprehended Profitt without incident.
