[ARCHIVED] Fishers Police Arrest a Juvenile For Felony False Informing

Fishers, (Indiana) – This afternoon the Fishers Police Department arrested a juvenile for felony False Informing.

This morning the Fishers Police Department and the officials from Hamilton Southeastern Schools were notified of a verbal threat, involving a bomb, at Riverside Junior High School. Fishers Police School Resource Officers and HSE Schools immediately launched an investigation. Officers were quickly able to determine no credible threat existed and identified the student who allegedly made the threat against the school. Investigators also determined this most recent threat was completely independent from the threat earlier this week.

Officers located the student and his parents. The Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Hamilton County Juvenile Probation approved the criminal charge and recommended the juvenile be released to the custody of his parents.

Charge(s):    False Informing A Level 6 Felony

Held:              Released to Parents

A charge is merely an accusation, and the arrested person(s) is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
