How to Pay a Ticket
Methods of Payment Accepted
The Fishers City Court accepts cash, cashier's checks, and money orders. Credit cards are only accepted via online payment.
Please wait seven days after receiving your ticket before contacting the court for more information. This will allow the court staff enough time to receive and process your ticket.
By paying a ticket without appearing in court, you are admitting or pleading no contest to the violation. This will have the same effect as a judgment of the court, and a record of the judgment will be sent to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles or to the equivalent agency in the state where you are licensed to drive.
To pay by credit card, your violation must not require you to appear in court. If you attempt to pay by credit card and your case requires you to appear in person, your payment may be rejected and you may be called to appear in court to answer for contempt of court.
Fines and costs are fixed by the Traffic Violations Bureau. You must pay the exact amount of fines and costs set. If you fail to pay the amount set, your payment may be rejected and your case set for hearing. You must pay the amount set in full. The court does not accept partial payments.
Online payment is available. Convenience fees of $4 +2% of the total cost apply and are non-refundable.
