Environmental Health

Environmental Health is an important component of every health department's core required activities. Most environmental health activities include a regulatory component in order to ensure compliance with standards. The Fishers Health Department's environmental health services are located within the City of Fishers Permitting and Inspections Department. We operate from a position of meeting state code requirements and focusing on areas where there is a direct public health benefit. Our inspectors place a heavy emphasis on education of operators in order to ensure an informed approach to meeting the standards that will best protect our residents' health.
