In 2018, the City of Fishers joined the network of AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities, an affiliate of the WHO Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities. The designation emphasizes the City’s commitment to continued age-friendly efforts in four distinct categories: land use, housing, transportation, and parks.
The Age-Friendly Fishers committee is in the early stages of creating a Community Action Plan, and we want your ideas as we work to make Fishers a place for all ages. Join us for a public meeting to learn more and share you input. Meetings will be held:

Due to muddy trails, the StoryWalk Book Reveal has been postponed until July. We apologize for any inconvenience!The StoryWalk® has come to Fishers! Join us for the first book reveal of the StoryWalk® in partnership with Hamilton East Public Library. Each month, we’ll feature a nature-based picture book on the Hickory Trail at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve for little ones to enjoy during a quarter-mile hike in the woods. Books are available all month long, rain or shine. Books are ideal for ages 6 and under.
Book reveals will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10 AM at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve and will feature themed, hands-on activities and a guided hike with a naturalist and librarian. Learn more at playfishers.com/storywalk

The City of Fishers is excited to welcome Vertical Horizon and Tonic to the NPD AMP stage for a free show to kick off Spark!Fishers!
While the show is free, tickets are required. Tickets will be available beginning in May and can be obtained through ticket stops and giveaways hosted by the City of Fishers and 107.9 The Mix. Ticket stops will be announced later this month.

These monthly meetings will allow residents an opportunity to ask questions or voice concerns directly to council leadership. The meetings will alternate between mornings and evenings at locations throughout Fishers to accommodate residents’ schedules. The monthly meetings are open to the public and will be hosted at various locations throughout the city.
